Time Zones & Miracles
Mary Rose O'Reilley writes, "If you are in the right mental time zone, miracles happen. Humans operate in two time zones at once... clock time and high time. This is an idea that obsessed St. Augustine... as well as any first grader who is trying to get to school before the bell rings while also paying attention to the single once-in-a-moment descent of the swallow tail onto a tea rose devoid of smell" (The Love of Impermanent Things: A Threshold Ecology (154). http://www.amazon.com/The-Love-Impermanent-Things-Threshold/dp/1571313125/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398747746&sr=8-1&keywords=love+of+impermanent+things .
